Why support Hillel at the University of Minnesota?

Supporting Hillel at the University of Minnesota means ensuring a strong Twin Cities Jewish community tomorrow. According a comprehensive study of graduates from Universities and colleges across the country, Minnesota is one of the states fortunate enough to experience what social scientists call "brain gain."

"Brain gain" refers to the phenomenon wherein recent college and university graduates are able to find full time employment in the city where they received their degrees. As it turns out, more than 70% of graduates from the University of Minnesota stay in the Twin Cities and greater metro area after they graduate because of the excellent job opportunities available to them here.

Jewish students are no exception to this phenomenon which means that Hillel is strategically positioned to groom the future generations of Twin Cities Jewish leaders today. Keeping these Jewish students connected to their heritage is essential to ensuring that the superb Twin Cities' Jewish community will continue into the future.

If this argument isn't enough to convince you, we would like to invite you to hear the voices and see the faces of the students at Hillel today who rely on Hillel to stay connected to their Jewish identity.
