Shabbat at Hillel
From the exotic (ever try a Chinese Shabbat?) to the comfy (think brisket and warm Challah), Hillel is happy to provide Shabbat services and dinners to our students. Every other week during the school year, there is a Friday evening student-led service at Hillel followed by a free dinner for students. (Dinner is $15 for non-students.)

Anyone interested in working with a Rabbi or Judaic specialist to learn how to lead services or give a D’var Torah, contact sroutman@umn.edu

The service starts at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:15 p.m. In addition, approximately once a month, Hillel sponsors a free Shabbat dinner in one of the residence halls or in a nearby student apartment. Shabbat dinners are free to students due to the generosity of donors.

If you would like to attend any of these dinners, please RSVP to Hillel by e-mailing us at hillel@umn.edu or call 612-379-4026.

To see the times and dates for our upcoming Shabbats, please visit the events calendar.
