After 15 years as a neo-Nazi white supremacist activist and recruiter, Tom "TJ" Leyden experienced a profound change of heart, turned away from hate, and began teaching tolerance.

How can a man who covered his body in Nazi symbols, advocated for the death of Jews, and recruited teenagers into the hate movement become one of the nation's most compelling advocates for the importance of diversity and cultural appreciation?

On April 30, 2008 at 7:00pm, Hillel at the University of Minnesota presents "Turning Away From Hate," Leyden's story of life as a former neo-Nazi and the tactics he used as a recruiter, organizer and propagandist of the white supremacist movement. He is the only known former neo-Nazi to leave the movement and retain his same name.

Hear TJ Leyden tell his story!
